I’m a 45 year old mother of 3 children aged between 8 and 18 – quite a handful!

I work part-time as a receptionist in a busy medical centre so I see and speak to hundreds of women who have been affected by various types of cancer. Just like everybody else, I have unfortunately also had the experience of close friends and family being diagnosed with cancer.

I know about cold cap treatment through my job and talking to those close to me who have had the treatment.

I think I can speak for the majority of women when I say that our hair is very important to us – it affects our confidence and self-esteem

I know how devastating it can be for women to lose their hair during what is already a very distressing time.

Cold caps are simple but effective. My aim is to make everybody aware of the scalp cooling treatment and that it is available throughout the UK in NHS hospitals, all a patient needs to do is request it.”
